Carmen’s in Ghar Lapsi is 15 metres from the water’s edge. It’s as informal and fuss-free a place as you can get, and does what it says on the tin – serving hearty and homely meals and snacks to locals and increasingly more tourists who wash up in this out-of-the-way stretch of coast.

If you want a remote place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the festive season. We recommend you head over to ’Dive’ In in Ghar Lapsi. It has a great view of Filfla Island and Ghar Lapsi bay, and from Dive’s terrace, you can observe the beauty of the overhanging cliffs.

The restaurant/café is open all day and offers a nice selection of food, wine and spirits. Shandell makes you feel welcome, and the food is prepared and served with pride.

Our favourite food picks from their menu are their home-made burgers and the spare ribs. They are delicious!

If you want to visit this gem of a place in the South West of the Island, we highly recommend you call ahead to reserve a table, you definitely don’t want to miss out on reserving a meal on their terrace. During the day however you are welcome to walk into ‘Dive’ for a hot coffee and one of their selection of cakes. Its a lovely reward after a nice walk in the fresh air.
